This thoughtful theological meditation is from the October issue of The Stool Pigeon, out now.
I wrote the script for this one about 3 years ago (it was going to be the first Dr. Cave strip), and it's been in my 'to do' pile ever since. Mr. Leech was the new addition that made me finally get round to drawing it.
The art was inspired by Ken Reid's 50's & 60's work for The Beano and Dandy, and 60's animation, like Top Cat.
Here's some bonus Dr. Caves - I meant to use them on either side of the Doctor Cave logo, but I didn't finish them before the publishing deadline. Maybe I'll use them in his next thrilling adventure, or perhaps I'll do a couple more variations, repeat it as a pattern, and then sell it as children's wallpaper. Such a treat for the darling little ones!
