Ink, Cocks & Rock 'n'Roll

I'm proud to present the poster for Halflife Film's new short film about Krent Able, 'Ink, Cocks & Rock 'n' Roll', and announce some upcoming festival screenings.

The film is a 'hybrid', both documentary and fiction, and was directed by Matt Harlock (director and producer of the award-winning 'American: The Bill Hicks Story'), and features lots of my comics, illustrations and music, as well as the cinematography of Kess Bohan, the music of Nikky French, the make-up of Deanna V'lcevska, the motion graphics of Territory Studio, and many other great collaborators.

We're thrilled to have been selected for the following festivals:

Celluloid Screams in Sheffield, Oct 23rd

London Short Film Festival, Jan 2017. London Short Film Festival

Another Hole In The Head Film Festival, San Francisco, Oct 27th-Nov 6th.

'Rough Emeralds' Illustrations for Vice

Here's some illustrations I did for a true short story on, 'Rough Emeralds' by Gabriel Krauze. It's about armed police, stereotyping, smoking chronic, and precious gemstones.

The last picture is an unused alternate version of image 2.

Future Of The Left poster

Ltd. Edition Screenprint Poster for Future Of The Left's forthcoming album, 'The Peace And Truce Of Future Of The Left'.

It's based on the engraving 'Archangel Michael Defeating A Dragon' by Jacob Cornelisz from 1510.
I wanted something suitably medieval-looking to fit the album title, inspired by 'The Peace Of Truce Of God' - a movement in the Middle Ages by the Catholic Church that was designed to keep feuding Knights in line.

The poster is available as part of a package with the (excellent) album at the bands PledgeMusic site:

Here's a bonus unused and unfinished version, with different colours:

...And here's the designs I did for their new mini album, 'To Failed Sates And Forest Clearings':

..and finally, here's a T-shirt design I did for 'em;

'Save Curzon Soho' mural.

I teamed up with fellow comic artist and illustrator, JAKe, to create this giant mural at the Curzon Soho Cinema as part of the Save Curzon Soho campaign. The cinema is under threat of demolishment to make way for the Crossrail 2 development, so we thought we'd do our bit to keep arts and culture alive in Soho.

Click on this link to see a short video showing us painting the mural, like hyper-caffeinated worker ants:

..and there's an online petition here, if you'd like to add your voice:

Big thanks to Soho's Gosh! Comics and SelfMadeHero for helping to make this happen.
